Lift Ministries Youth Group @ First Assembly

I have to say that in the past 3 years of living in Marble Falls and even attending First Assembly I have never been sad when it comes time for us to leave for baseball season. This year it's safe to say I have tons of mixed emotions!

I have fallen in love with our youth group! I love their hearts, I love being goofy with everyone, I love beating the boys at ping pong, I love our "girl talks", I even love the tears when we have those serious talks. I will miss them so very much. Cody and I never dreamed we would become so attached and so quickly...they sure do grow on ya!

Cody and I are so excited on the other hand for Pastor Jim and Joy to take over! What amazing people for the job!! We will be praying for them and the youth expecting God to do greater things then we have ever seen before in this church!

Wednesday was such a wonderful ending to this chapter in our lives...we had a pizza party, a sweet note read to us, and a bunch of fun pictures!!! :) We love you guys and we will be thinking of you, praying for you, and looking forward to seeing ya'll when we get back!! Asher Strait

My Birthday Day February 21, 2010

Woke up and went to church Sunday morning and a big group of us went out to eat! It was so nice sharing that day with people we love so much!! After a great lunch we came home and Asher, Cody and I all snuggled up to watch a movie and 1hr & 1/2 later woke up from a much needed nap!

We had a meeting at church where we paused and everyone of our members in the church sang me "Happy Birthday"...it was too sweet!

I got a wonderful bouquet of flowers from my hubbby and a day at the SPA!!! Massage, mani & pedi...woot woot!! So excited for that!

After the meeting we came and home and one of our great friends from the Kansas City Royals organization, Jeff Howell and his dad came and stayed with us while passing through to get to Spring Training in Arizona!

What a great day! I can't believe I'm 26yrs old...I remember when I was little thinking how old someone was when they were 20yr! ha, seems so funny to me now! I can know longer say I am in my mid twenties. I am officially in my LATE twenties!!!

AHHHHH...here are a couple of pics from my bday! Asher cracks me up when we go out to eat!! His facial expressions are priceless!!

Now I'm just sad...He has gotten so big!

Asher First Birthday Pics

We have Asher's first birthday party at the Waco Ranch Cody and I got married at! It was so fun, it was a Circus theme! We had cotton candy (which Asher was not allowed to eat!) circus peanuts, paper animals, a circus tent, cup cakes, and all of Asher's little friends (all 6 of em!)

The last picture of Cody in the sombrero hat was from when we went to San Antonio for a day at the market!

Random Picture Updates

February 2010

Asher is walking, talking, playing, getting into anything and everything...it's great! As our off season comes to a close I look back on it and realize how fun it was...watching our little boy grow up has been so exciting and so sad all at the same time!

We start this season off back in Florida for Spring Training and in a new place with a new team! Tampa Bay Rays have their ST in Port Charlotte, Fl...this is great news for us because it's just south of where we starting dating, where we got engaged and where my family lives!!

Cody and I are looking forward to what God has in store for us this year! We are looking at this year with only one expectation...to do whatever it is God is calling us to do!! :)

Thank you all so much for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. As the season goes on and we get moved all over the country please continue to pray for our safe travels and living accommodations!! :)
