Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota, Florida

Siesta Key is where Cody purposed to me after a game one night! It is such an amazing, special place to us! We had to share it with our son, Asher! We took him on there on a Sunday night when they have there famous "Drum Circle Night!" It's so fun, lots of hippy people come together and literally circle up and play all there bongo drums all night! They have hula hooper's, belly dancers, jugglers, a lady twirling around with a sword on her head...it's to fun to watch!!! :)

It rained a day or so before we went so the sand was cold and wet...Asher didn't like for his bare feet to touch it!! He really got a kick out of the seagulls that fly around everywhere looking for all the sun bathers left over snacks they have left on the beach!

Baseball Living

I know all the people involved in baseball regardless of what level they are at now at some point they where here! This is too funny! Blow up mattresses, we have 2 because after 3 days of sleeping on one (cody and I together) we start to sink in the middle!! It's hilarious! So, we have two that we just push together to have one really big bed!! We have memory foam on both of them and believe it or not they are really pretty comfortable!

In the living room, we have 3 folding chairs for Cody, Drew and myself...when Jenny was here we used another blow up mattress as our make shift couch! haha

Our third bedroom is used as Asher's play room and we eat Chinese style (on the floor) when we eat dinner~!!

Hey you can do anything for a month...and when it saves you almost 2,000 extra for furniture, it really becomes an easy choice!!

This is my mom's mom's house, my Granny! I grew up coming to this house for Christmas every year! Since my parents moved away from Florida when I was little the memories I have here with my cousins and my Granny are very special to me! I love that Asher gets to experience playing here as a baby in the very yard I played in as a baby and then as a little girl!

Road to Spring Training 2010 Pics

We had so much more room than normal, thanks to our handy dandy cargo trailer pulling all our goodies behind us! :) Asher did really good traveling down there, we stopped every few hours and let him room around, play for a bit, diaper change, gas, and we were off again!!

After we arrived and found out the condo wasn't going to work, we stayed at a hotel for a couple nights and found a apartment not far from the field that worked out just perfect! At least we know next year where we will stay!! Lakes of Tuscana lake side for sure!

Oh and that apartment bill on top of the $1,600 we already shelled out, was $1,400 and was actually livable! Go figure!

Let's Play Ketchup!

I should probably back up a bit and catch everyone up on where we are and how we got here! We will start with the road trip down to Florida! We packed up are house in Marble Falls, TX and with trailer in-tow headed down to Beaumont, TX to stay with Cody's parents for 2 nights! We left early the following morning and actually made it to Tallahassee to stay with my cousin, Marissa who is attending FSU there. Early the next morning, day 4 of our road trip we made it to Granny White's house and camped there for a night!!

Here is where the fun begins...well, since we already new our "condo" was good to go, we decided to go shopping for the day in Brandon since it was on our way south to Port Charlotte. (bad move on my part)

We pulled into Port Toilet, around 8:00pm...but just in time to notice that our "condo" was a complete and total DUMP!!!!!!!! It was horrible, so horrible in fact, I refused to stay there for even 1 night. I asked Cody to take us to a hotel until we figured out some place else to stay! I'm just going to let the pictures speak for themselves!








Don't you wanna stay at this "condo"!? Well, if you do, just fork over $1,600 dollars and it's all yours! :)

Never take someone's word that advertises on Craigslist until you actually SEE the place for yourself in person!
